Leslee Hare

Many of you may remember Leslee, a former Pine Lake artist, who moved away several years ago, but she still keeps Pine Lake in her mind, heart and in this case, her art.

Artist Spotlight

After spending 40 years working in architecture and interior design, I stepped away from those paths and took a new road that reflects my lifelong passions—painting, drawing, and writing.

Whether you're looking for a piece of art to brighten a wall in your home, or an interior designer working to elevate a public space, I invite you to view my creations here at www.leslee-art.com.

When I create, I express my experiences.

Sometimes those experiences are waves and swirls of energy and emotions that flood this world like a riotous party, and I use an abstract style.

Other times, I become an explorer, returning to my childhood and sneaking through quiet woods or lying in the grass and examining things as if looking through a microscope.  Then, I paint impressionistic macro versions of flowers or tree bark, especially plants from my parents’ garden.

Sometimes I combine the two styles.

For inspiration, I also call upon my hyper-vivid dreams.  I was told these dreams and my “vivid inner world” contributed towards my Autism diagnosis six years ago.

In my former career, I learned how a vibrant image across a room can create depth, connection, and feelings comfort and joy. That knowledge still informs me today. I pay close attention to details such as color and hue that can change the mood of a painting the same way that a painting can change the mood of a room.

Painting and drawing are intimate processes and my heart soars when someone identifies with my work. As a Neuro-Divergent, I often feel solitary (but seldom lonely), so I treasure the moments when another person says, "I get it."

Wherever my art is hung, I want that space to be filled with hope, joy and the wonder we find in secrets and stories.

I also hope my art can encourage other people on the Autism spectrum, people who may have felt that they are “weird,” “eccentric,” or “odd.”   I enjoy connecting with people who love my art, whether they buy it or not. Each piece is like a slice of my life or a journal entry.

Please send me a message or an email if you have any questions about my work. I'm open to commissions.
